Diaphragm compressor and hydrogen fuelling station specialist PDC Machines has unveiled its SimpleFuel™ hydrogen refueller at the Lincoln Financial Field, home to the Philadelphia Eagles.
The installation of SimpleFuel™ crowns the Philadelphia Eagles as North America’s first professional sports team to utilise hydrogen that is produced on-site to power event operations.
A recent ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrated this achievement as part of the American football team’s internationally recognised Go Green Programme, positioning the them as one of the most sustainable franchises in professional sports.
SimpleFuel™ will enhance the team’s programme by decarbonising and powering game day, by providing 100% renewable energy for event operations, fuelling fuel cell vehicles, and material handling vehicles. The station can produce up to 20kg of hydrogen per day.
