Air Products has entered into a landmark Joint Cooperation Agreement with Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and Drexel University to offer Chinese students degrees and corporate work placements.
Launching an integrated 3-2 programme, which offers outstanding students the opportunity to earn undergraduate and graduate degrees and a corporate work assignment, the joint venture claims the partnership as the first among a Chinese university, a US university and an international corporation.
Through the planned structure, students would complete 3 years of education at SJTU, and a further 2 years at Drexel during which a 6 month internship at Air Products would be undertaken.
Following completion of the education programme, students receive a bachelor’s degree in their engineering major from SJTU and a master’s degree in global engineering from the USA’s Drexel.
