Air Liquide and Sixtron Advanced Materials form partnership to promote and distribute advanced coating materials to crystalline silicon (c-Si) solar cell manufacturers worldwide.
The new Silexium™ technology will improve the performance of solar cells and reduce costs. The agreement will compliment Air Liquide’s existing ALOHA™ range of advanced precursor materials.
Sixtron, a Canadian company, develop scalable and cost-effective industrial coating systems to improve the performance of solar cells.
The new Silexium™ process combines proprietary precursor molecules with the SunBox™ gas generation system to deposit new solar cell films. The films enable the replacement of existing Silane-based anti-reflective coatings and significantly reduce the Light Induced Defects degradation (LID) on mono c-Si cells.
