Parker Bestobell has secured full Type Approval from the Korean Register of Shipping (KR) for its range of cryogenic globe and check valves for use on ships.
The Type Approval has come on the back of numerous projects that Parker Bestobell is involved in for KR registered ships, and recognition of the increasing use of KR to Class LNG carriers being built in Asian shipyards.
Having full Type Approval means that Parker Bestobell can carry out cryogenic testing in line with KR requirements and witnessed by one of their class surveyors, to ensure the valves perform without leakage in cryogenic conditions.
The company also carries out 100% ambient testing for all its cryogenic globe and check valves to ensure that are completely leakage free.
