During this year’s annual general meeting of the AWD, the group voted to put in place several changes.
One of the most significant moves was to change the title to the Association of Welding and Distribution. The decision was made in an effort to reflect the changes taking place in the welding equipment and consumables market.
In addition, members voted to change AWD status from an association to a limited company. Furthermore, the AGM determined to re-vamp the website with interactive components, improved accessibility and greater industry information.
Similarly the constitution and code of conduct will undergo revisions to reflect the overall evolution and development of the Association. Finally, the Association’s publication, ‘Business Bulletin’ has been altered to ‘Welding World’.
