Oman LNG has signed its first ever liquefied natural gas (LNG) term deal with Germany after agreeing to a large-scale supply agreement with state-owned Securing Energy for Europe (SEFE) Group.
The deal opens the door for new opportunities in the European markets for Oman LNG – a company partially owned by energy giant Shell and one of the fastest LNG projects to ever come to fruition.
Based on a four-year contract, starting in 2026, the agreement will see Oman LNG supplying SEFE with a total volume of 400,000 tonnes of LNG per year.
Stating that the signing marks another milestone for the company, Mahmoud Abdulsatar Al Balushi, CCO of Oman LNG, added, “Going further, the agreement leverages our constant efforts to add value to Oman’s economy through growth and collaborations.”
