Global energy firm OCI Global has announced its successful bunkering of the world’s first ever green methanol-powered container vessel in the Port of Rotterdam.
Owned by Maersk, the vessel has taken on OCI HyFuels green methanol for the final leg of its maiden voyage before it reaches home in Copenhagen.
The voyage has taken the ship along one of the world’s busiest shipping routes, from Korea, via Singapore and the Suez Canal before reaching Europe.
