The European company of Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation (NSHD), Nippon Gases, has been awarded a platinum medal in recognition for its commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives by rating company EcoVadis.
The award – the rating’s highest recognition – comes after two consecutive years of securing the gold medal for its efforts to maximise its corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
EcoVadis rates businesses’ sustainability by evaluating four key areas: Environment, Ethics, Human and Labour Rights and Sustainable Procurement.
According to Nippon Gases, it has ‘significantly improved’ vital areas, particularly in Labour and Human Rights and Sustainable Procurement.
