Nippon Gases has made a strategic investment in Italian plant engineering company Polaris, in a move that will drive advancements in gas separation and carbon neutrality-related projects.
By integrating Polaris’ expertise and construction capabilities, Nippon Gases hopes to strengthen its productive resources with enhanced process solutions and separation technologies.
Specifically, the effort will foster synergies with Nippon’s plant engineering centre in Japan.
Raoul Giudici, President of Nippon Gases, said that Polars’ engineering expertise will be invaluable as Nippon pursues new opportunities for carbon neutrality.
“It will build the perfect bridge between Europe and Japan and further develop our engineering capabilities at a global scale, opening the doors to endless growth opportunities for us and our customers.”
Polaris’ know-how in planting engineering will help to address the challenges of the new global economic structure focused on high technology and sustainability.
Mario Masetto, Chief Operating Officer at Polaris, described the partnership as a new chapter.
“Our shared commitment to engineering excellence and sustainable solutions will allow us to create value by accessing larger scale projects in air separation and make a significant impact on the industry’s transition towards sustainability.”
In July, Nippon published its 2024 Sustainability Report. Verified by Ernst and Young, the latest report outlines Nippon’s focus on several business areas, including resource optimisation, energy efficiency, water usage, waste management, greenhouse gas footprint, and sustainable technology solutions for customers.
