Nippon Gases earns platinum EcoVadis award for sustainability leadership

Nippon Gases has been awarded the platinum medal in the EcoVadis sustainability ranking for its corporate social responsibility and sustainability efforts.

The recognition marks the second consecutive year that Nippon Gases has received the award. This year, Nippon Gases secured an overall score of 89/100, with notable improvements in the ethics and sustainable procurement categories.

Additionally, it maintained its ratings in labour and human rights and environment and climate change, placing it among the top 1% of companies in its industry worldwide.

Joaquin González-Blas, Energy and Sustainability Director Europe at Nippon Gases, said the platinum award helps motivate the team to push even further in its mission to build a more sustainable future.

“This recognition is a reflection of our unwavering commitment towards sustainability”.

EcoVadis is a global provider of business sustainability ratings with a network of more than 150,000 rated companies. It evaluates companies across four key areas: environment, ethics, human and labour rights, and sustainable procurement.

The news follows Nippon Gases’ acquisition of Spain’s IET Ecology to strengthen its environmental technology portfolio. The partnership will help companies advance efficient energy systems and promote sustainable energy practices. Additionally, it will support carbon neutrality-focused projects.
