Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group (CE&IG) has secured contracts to build and maintain around 24 liquid hydrogen stations in South Korea.
Several of the hydrogen stations have already been commissioned and are successfully fuelling buses. Nikkiso CE&IG hopes to get the remaining sites up and running in the next twelve months.
The contract was awarded by SK Plug Hyverse, a joint venture between Plug Power and SK E&S that was formed in January 2022. The joint venture has a focus on the hydrogen value chain in the Asian market.
Peter Wagner, CEO, Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases, recognised SK Plug Hyverse as a “tremendous partner” for Nikkiso in South Korea.
