A Group company of Japan-based Nikkiso Co., Ltd has acquired German plant engineering and construction company Cryotec, located in Wurzen, Saxony.
Purchased for an undisclosed amount, Cryotec specialises in planning, project management, manufacturing and engineering services of skid-mounted/containerised air separation and liquefaction plants and carbon dioxide (CO2) technologies.
According to Nikkiso, the new acquisition – effective from February 3rd, 2023 – will operate as part of the Group’s GmbH facility, which consists of six business units including Cryogenic Pumps, Heat Exchanger Systems, Process Systems, Fuelling & Solutions, Energy Infrastructure & Strategic Projects and Service.
The company stated that it will promote and sell globally the packaged CO2 reduction and recovery solutions from Cryotec, adding that it will also have ‘full access’ to its own technologies.
