Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group has partnered with GTT to combine expertise and enhance the LNG-fuelled shipping market.
The combination of the two companies will see GTT’s patented Recycool™ technology paired with Nikkiso’s high-pressure fuel gas pump skids.
GTT’s Recycool™ technology ensures boil-off gas is recovered and manged safely to avoid unwanted emissions and improve fuel efficiency.
Already, the duo has received an order from a Chinese shipyard to equip 10 LNG-fuelled container ships, with additional contracts expected in the near future.

LNG-fuelled ships can achieve up to 28% lower greenhouse gas emissions on a tank-to-wake basis compared to vessels using traditional marine bunker fuel, according to SEA-LNG, a multi-sector industry coalition.
The global shipping industry as a whole was responsible for over 2% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions in 2022, according to the International Energy Agency.
