Memphis-based nexAir, one of the largest distributors of atmospheric gases and welding supplies in the United States, has agreed to acquire the assets and operations of Welders Supply & Equipment Co., Inc.
The distributor for welding and medical equipment, gases and safety supplies has locations in Montgomery and Andalusia, Alabama. The transaction is expected to close at the end of the month and Welders Supply and its employees will join nexAir’s Alabama operations effective 2nd March.

The acquisition expands nexAir’s Alabama footprint to further its reach into central and south Alabama, and grants new customers access to the company’s seasoned industry expertise. In addition to its knowledge of industrial and specialty gases and welding supplies, nexAir brings expertise in automation trends and the latest welding procedures.
