Manufacturers of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV), Flextraction Ltd, has released a series of hoses for use in temperatures of up to 1100˚C.
The series of suction and blast hoses are designed to meet the needs of chemical applications. Flextration Ltd distributes flexible extraction hoses in the United Kingdom and Ireland for the German based manufacturer, NORRES Schlauchtechnik GmbH & Co. KG.
The company offers a variety of hoses according to applications; these vary in size, weight, flexibility and compressibility. The devices can serve temperatures ranging from -200˚C up to +1100˚C.
Hoses which serve temperatures up to 125˚C are made from Thermoplastic polymers. Meanwhile, those made of steel may be used in temperatures up to 400˚C, while stainless steel hoses can be used up to 600˚C. In applications which require better thermal insulation, NORRES offers multi-ply constructed hoses with alternating webbing and special insulating materials.
The series is particularly suited to applications involved in aggressive solids such as dust particles, powder and fibres, in addition to aggressive gaseous applications such as vapours, fumes and smoke.
