New Fortress Energy has signed a deal to sell its liquefaction and storage facility in Miami, Florida, which is authorised to export up to 60,000 tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per annum for a 20-year term that began in 2016.
To be sold to a US middle-market infrastructure fund, the Miami facility is a small-scale liquefaction site with one train and a production capacity of 100,000 gallons per day.
The facility also has three LNG storage tanks with a total capacity of around 1,000 cubic meters and two separate LNG transfer areas capable of serving both truck and rail.
Wes Edens, Chairman and CEO of New Fortress Energy, described the facility as an inaugural asset of New Fortress Energy.
