Norway’s first ever advanced e-fuels production facility is scheduled to be built at Mo Industrial Park in Mo i Rana, according to project developers Infinium.
The company will work alongside Mo Industrial Park to develop the facility, which will use captured carbon dioxide (CO2) and green hydrogen to produce fuels capable of decarbonising hard to abate sectors such as aviation and maritime shipping.
The city of Mo i Rana has earmarked land for the e-fuels project and renewable power required to produce green hydrogen as a feedstock for Infinium’s process.
