Liquefied gas carrier specialist Navigator Holdings and floating infrastructure operator Bumi Armada Berhad have unveiled plans to launch a new joint venture that will provide carbon dioxide (CO2) shipping and injection solutions to the UK.
The duo today (20th June) unveiled plans for the Bluestreak CO2 joint venture, having signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
To be owned 50% by Navigator and 50% by Bumi Armada, the Bluestreak CO2 joint venture will design and implement a value chain of shuttle tankers that will deliver captured CO2 to a floating carbon storage and injection unit.
