Meggitt Sensing Systems, received a visit from NASA astronaut Richard Arnold to meet the employees who helped develop technologies for NASA’s new heavy-lift rocket.
The Irvine facility in California was chosen for the visit by The Boeing Company, to recognise Meggitt employees who worked on supplying mission-critical technologies for NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) – the new rocket designed for deep space exploration.
The rocket is the largest launch vehicle ever built and provides a new capability for science and human exploration beyond Earth’s orbit.
