A new LCO2 project is being developed through a partnership of New Energy, the Industrial Development Organisation (NEDO) and the Japanese government. The project revolves around carbon dioxide capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS).
Other partners included The Engineering Advancement Association of Japan (ENAA ), Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (“K” LINE), Nippon Gas Line Co., and Ochanomizu University
The project is a new LCO2 carrier built and recently launched by Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Corporation.
