Eneos Corporation and Mitsubishi Corporation have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to study the social implementation of hydrogen and decarbonised fuels.
It expands the ongoing feasibility study into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
Eneos, which currently operates hydrogen stations for fuel cell vehicles (FCV) in Japan, is focusing on building CO2-free hydrogen supply chain to realise a business for domestic industrial complex areas, drawing on Japanese governmental support, such as Green Innovation Fund projects.
Mitsubishi is making extensive efforts across development, demand creation and building supply chains of next-generation energy, in order to promote the transition to a carbon neutral society.
