The Minnesota Semiconductor Manufacturing Consortium has been launched to teach new skills to those looking to explore careers in semiconductor manufacturing.
Launched by the University of Minnesota’s Technological Leadership Institute (TLI), the consortium will develop and implement training programmes that cover essential areas such as microfabrication process flow, lithography, etching, and other techniques.
Honeywell, Collins Aerospace, Polar Semiconductor, and the Minnesota Nano Centre have been named as stakeholders in the consortium. It has also received a significant contribution from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED).
