US semiconductor manufacturer Micron Technology has announced plans to build a new assembly and test facility in Gujarat, India.
A $825m investment, the site will focus on both dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) and NAND flash products to help address demand from domestic and international markets.
Micron will receive 50% fiscal support for the total project cost from the Indian central government and incentives representing 20% of the total project cost from the state of Gurjarat.
