Michell Instruments, a high-precision sensing company has released a new trace oxygen (O2) analyser to ensure accuracy in cryogenic air separation.
Capable of detecting O2 down to 0.01 parts per million (ppm), the XZR400 analyser is used to ensure the purity of gas produced by cryogenic air separation, measuring trace levels of O2 in pure, inert gases such as nitrogen (N2), argon (Ar), helium (He) and carbon dioxide (CO2).
The device uses Michell’s MSRS zirconium oxide O2 sensor, which contains a metallic sealed reference and eliminates the need for reference air. The sensors have a long-life span of over seven years as the technology is non-depleting.
