Mexico Pacific, GDI Sicim Pipelines and Bonatti have signed a deal to develop a 500-mile pipeline to transport 2.8 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas from the US boarder to Mexico Pacific’s Saguaro Energia liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility.
Under the signed engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract, the GDI Sicim Pipelines and Bonatti joint venture will engineer, procure, and construct the pipeline. Bonatti will oversee the required compressor stations.
Ivan Van der Walt, CEO of Mexico Pacific, said the pipeline contract represents another important inflection point for the project as it plans to move towards construction.
