Brazil-based Metalplan Equipamentos LTDA has been acquired by Atlas Copco Group.
Metalplan was founded in 1986 and is a manufacturer of screw compressors, air treatment equipment, chillers, gas generate, and renewable energy products.
The company also provides services to the compressed air market.
Philippe Ernens, President of Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique business, said the move will grow the company’s presence in Brazil and Latin America.
“Metalplan’s products and services stretch across many industries and segments, which will be beneficial for our customers.”
Now acquired, Metalplan will become part of the industrial air division within the Compressor Technique business area.
The purchase price was not disclosed.
