European energy company MET Group has signed a 10-year US liquefied natural gas (LNG) purchase agreement with Shell.
Announced today (9th July), MET Group says the deal will further diversify its LNG supply portfolio and ensure supply security for its customers in Europe.
MET Group also hopes that its collaboration with Shell will benefit new regions, such as Asia.
György Vargha, CEO of MET International AG, described the news as a natural next step.
