Industrial gas specialist Messer has reported progress on its sustainability journey as it celebrates it 125-year anniversary.
Having published its 2022 Corporate Responsibility Report, the company outlined its efforts to reduce emission intensity of its plants, increase the proportion of women in management and to introduce new technology solutions for customers.
According to the firm, it lowered emission intensity of its plants and logistics by about 15% compared to 2021, reaching 4.56kg of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) per euro of EBITDA – aligning with its goal of reducing emission intensity by 40% by 2030 compared to 2019.
