With the foundation stone laid, the Messer Group is looking forward to being ‘brought together’ once again, after ten years of disparity.
Messer’s new headquarters are to be situated in Bad Soden, Germany. Current plans hope to unite all subsidiaries within the Messer Group under one roof, while completion is expected in April 2011. Those companies to be incorporated in the facility include, Messer Group, Messer Cutting and Welding, Castolin Eutectic and BIT Analytical Instruments.
Stefan Messer, owner of the Group laid the foundation stone and remarked, “A familiar space provides security, freedom boosts creativity and the development of new premises creates value.”
Messer is investing around €20m in the building, which will occupy five stories and house 150 employees. In addition to the main building will lie the Adolf Messer Forum; a conference centre and exhibition space. The premises will display, among other items, a restored historic industrial gas production unit from the 1950s.
