Messer Americas will invest $70m in a new air separation unit (ASU) in Berryville, Arkansas, to meet the growing demand for industrial gases.
Once operational, the new plant will strengthen Messer’s presence in the southern part of the US and complement its existing facility in Lewisville, Arkansas, to enhance production.
The new ASU is slated for completion in the second half of 2026.
Elena Skvortsova, President and CEO of Messer Americas, said, “This investment reflects our dedication to providing a dependable supply of industrial gases like oxygen and nitrogen to meet the evolving needs of our customers in food and beverage, healthcare, metals, chemicals, and many more industries.”
Messer’s Berryville plant will employ more than 20 people and provide temporary local jobs during construction.
Arkansas’ Governor Sanders, said, “Congratulations to the City of Berryville for Messer’s investment – our state’s first major jobs announcement of 2025. Thank you, Messer, for choosing the Natural State and helping make our economy stronger than ever.”
