Messer, in partnership with the Department of Interior’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has completed the successful delivery of one billion standard feet of helium at the Crude Helium Enrichment Unit (CHEU).
The industrial gas specialist was selected to run operations at the CHEU through a temporary agreement with the federal government in April 2022, and half has achieved nearly 99% reliability since taking the helm.
Chris Ebeling, Executive Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for North America at Messer, said the company is committed to sustaining the Federal Helium Reserve for the future to meet helium needs.
He continued, “We understand the importance of helium in scientific, medical, and defence applications. Our dedicated and experienced team has implemented proposed and safe operations to ensure ongoing supply reliability.”
