Karbonsan, the Turkish-based pressure vessels manufacturer, is set to supply a LNG fuelling system together with Cryostar to a new container terminal called Asyaport on the Marmara Sea in Turkey.
Turkey’s first LNG fuelling station will be used to refuel LNG-powered terminal tractors operating in the port.
LNG is cheaper than diesel in Turkey and there is also an LNG filling station near the port, making the investment logistically sound.
This port is expected to be completed within the first quarter of 2015 and Karbonsan plans to deliver the LNG systems in January 2015.
