Premier Cryogenic Services, LLC (PCS) is only two years old yet already claims to be the ‘largest liquid hydrogen trailer retest, repair, and rehabilitation company in North America’. PCS has a backlog of orders for liquid hydrogen transport repairs, which it does at its facilities in La Porte (Houston), Texas, and Slidell, Louisiana. Here, CEO Mark Morreale, COO Joe Morreale and Slidell Plant Manager Jamie Lord give a detailed description of the growing company’s operation and thoughts on the hydrogen business/outlook in North America.
Which of your facilities handles the most LH2 work – Slidell or La Porte?
CEO Mark Morreale: The Morreale family founded WesMor Cryogenics in 1998, and opened a liquid hydrogen retest, repair and rehabilitation shop in Slidell, Louisiana, in 2008. The Slidell shop later became Elite Cryogenics, which Premier Cryogenic Services purchased in 2019. Long-time Slidell shop liquid hydrogen trailer expert, Jamie Lord, was tapped to step up and assume the Plant Manager role, which he has been carrying out in an outstanding fashion.
