Linde North America’s Electronics and Speciality Gases business expands supply of ultra-high purity (UHP) gaseous nitrogen to a major semiconductor manufacturer at its Pacific Northwest campus.
The company, a subsidiary of The Linde Group, is a key supplier of products and services to the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing industries.
The recipient manufacturer will receive UHP nitrogen to support research expansion at its bases in the Pacific Northwest. The new supply will supplement an existing gaseous nitrogen pipeline supply which has been operational since 1996. Linde will install a new UHP generator and bolster the existing infrastructure to boost its production capacity. UHP is used in this particular arena as a means to meet rigorous design specifications.
Vice President of key global accounts for Linde’s Electronics and Speciality Gases business, Mark Quinn, commented, “Linde has a very long relationship with this global leader in semiconductor manufacturing and is delighted to contribute to their technology advancements.$quot;
$quot;Our supply of UHP nitrogen to their premier site strengthens our relationship and builds on our commitment to them as a key customer. We also believe the upgrades to Linde’s facility, located in nearby Hillsboro, Oregon, will provide the reliability necessary to ensure this manufacturer meets its production targets.”
