Linde has leveraged its extensive technology portfolio to sign a new contract with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), the largest refiner in India, the industrial gas giant said today.
Praxair India Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Linde, will build, own and operate an air separation unit (ASU) to supply oxygen and nitrogen to its incumbent customer, IOCL, for its refinery at Paradip, Orissa.
The project will help support the expansion of the existing refinery into an integrated petrochemical complex.
Following planned completion of the ASU in October 2021, the plant will have a combined total gas capacity of 660 tonnes per day.
