Linde is increasing its global active renewable energy by more than 60%, with the signing of two new major agreements in Brazil for the supply of renewable energy.
The commitment has been made via Linde’s White Martins subsidiary, which has signed deals to secure more than two million megawatt hours per year of renewable energy, replacing almost half of its existing power usage in Brazil.
Supply has already started from the Futura I Solar Complex, one of the largest photovoltaic parks in Latin America, and the Chí wind farm in Rio Grande do Sul.
Gilney Bastos, President of South Latin America at Linde, notes that the announcement is aligned with Linde’s commitment to actively increase its use of renewable energy.
