The American Chemistry Council (ACC) has re-awarded the Linde North America headquarters with the Responsible Care® certification.
Responsible Care is a globally recognized best practice initiative to improve safety, health, environment and security performance by member companies throughout the world. Certification is awarded by the ACC to companies which demonstrate adherence to a stringent set of standards.
Linde North America, has been a member of the ACC for over 60 years, their headquarters are located in Murray Hill, New Jersey. Patrick Murphy, President of Linde North America, commented, “We are extremely proud and excited about this certification as we are committed to being recognized as a Responsible Care company.”
“Working toward – and receiving – this certification falls right in line with our goals as a high performance organization and our vision to be the leading gases and engineering company.”
The re-award is the second time the Murray Hill facility has received the Responsible Care certification. Since May 2008, 12 of Linde’s production plants have achieved the ACC award, while four further plants are expecting to gain certification later in 2010.
Implementation of the system occurs in a ‘plan-do-check-act’ sequence and is then followed by an independent audit. Lloyds of London co-ordinated the independent, accredited audit for Linde’s Murray Hill unit.
