Linde AG has announced it is to invest 27 million euros expanding in Russia.
The group has signed a supply agreement with the Russian Maksi Group to provide oxygen, nitrogen and argon to a steelworks in Berezovsky in the Sverdlovsk region over a period of 17 years.
And in order to guarantee the supply won’t be interrupted, Linde will build an air separation plant near to the steelworks. This will also provide liquid products for the merchant market in the industrial region around the region.
Dr Aldo Belloni, executive board member of Linde AG, said the expansion in the growing industrial regions of Russia reinforces the group’s overall lead in the Eastern European market.
