Lincoln Electric and its partners Chevron and Stress Engineering Services have received the 2023 TCT Award in the industrial product application category for 3D metal printing refinery pressure components.
The companies were recognised for their collaboration which manufactured pressure components that were installed in a hydrogen furnace at a Chevron refinery. The components were printed with nickel wire using gas metal arc additive manufacturing.
Mark Douglass, Business Development Manager at Lincoln Electric Additive Solutions, notes that the demonstration showcased the value of large-scale 3D metal printing.
