Lincare Holdings Inc., a US subsidiary of industrial gas and engineering company The Linde Group, has successfully closed the acquisition of fellow US company American HomePatient, Inc.
The home healthcare provider specialises in respiratory therapies to serve the needs of patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA), and generated around €260m ($280m) in fiscal year 2014.
American HomePatient, headquartered in Tennessee, will be integrated into Lincare and will expand its patient base to over one million customers.
The acquisition will strengthen Tier One Linde’s growth in the homecare market and reinforce the company’s position as the global leader in this area of healthcare services.
