Safety hose manufacturer LifeGuard Technologies has launched a new safety hose designed specifically for liquid hydrogen and helium.
Believed to be the cryogenic industry’s first patent pending hose specifically designed for its purpose, the hose has insulated transfer lines to support the transportation of gas at extremely low temperatures.
The LifeGuard safety system is also built into the hose, utilising an engineeried and patented compression spring system with two non-return valves installed within each fitting.
Andy Abram, Executive Vice-President of LifeGuard Technologies, said the advancement of the new safety hose application with jointly developed with LifeGuard Technologies’ sister company GPSS India, with Shell-N-Tube’s materials science expertise and process engineering capabilities.
