Green and renewable hydrogen production specialist Lhyfe has become a partner in the Hy’Touraine project for the construction of a renewable hydrogen site.
Founded by four local public authorities from the Tours area in France and STMicroelectronics Tours – to decarbonise heavy transport and industry – the project is set to be the first complete local public-private ecosystem for renewable hydrogen.
The project will see Lhyfe constructing a green and renewable hydrogen production site, while its partner will operate the associated distribution infrastructure.
Having been selected by French energy management agency ADEME for a €3.4m grant, the site will boast a production capacity of up to two tonnes of hydrogen a day – depending on needs.
