UK-based cleantech firm Levidian has won a Statement of Feasibility for its LOOP technology by independent energy expert and assurance provider DNV.
The endorsement comes after a thorough Qualification Basis and Technology Assessment Review conducted by DNV, affirming the technical viability of Levidian’s LOOP devices.
By capturing carbon from methane gas, LOOP creates a new avenue for producing clean hydrogen and Net Zero graphene, a high-performance material with applications across diverse industries such as steel, batteries, and petrochemicals.
Alistair Donaldson, Chief Technology Officer at Levidian, expressed enthusiasm about the milestone, stating, “The last 18 months have been an incredible journey. We already have 10 LOOPs of various sizes in the field or under construction and are now working to develop our biggest ever unit, the LOOP1000, which will deliver industrial-scale levels of decarbonisation.”
