Icelandic company Landsvirkjun and Multinational Linde will collaborate on the development of green hydrogen and e-fuel projects to facilitate the nation’s transition to renewable energy sources.
Rikardur Rikardsson, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Innovation at Landsvirkjun said: “We welcome this collaboration with Linde, which enables us to continue the development of projects with the aim of producing e-fuels for transport and other novel energy transition off-takers by the year 2025.”
The partnership is a natural collaboration, as both companies have complimentary experience to draw upon. Landsvirkjun has decades of experience in the field of renewable, green energy, while Linde is a giant in the field of industrial gases. In fact, Linde already supplies Icelandic customers with locally produced oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and operates a cylinder filling site.
