Energy terminals operator Klaipėdos nafta has rebranded as KN Energies to reflect its increased focus on LNG terminals, synthetic fuels, liquid energy, hydrogen and CCS.
The name change is designed to elevate its international profile and particularly strengthen its presence in northern Europe.
To that end, it has secured the public tender for the commercial management of four LNG terminals in Germany – a key responsibility following the country’s phase-out of Russian gas.
The company has signed a contract with Deutsche Energy Terminal GmbH (DET), the German state-owned company that operates state-controlled LNG terminals.
