The Kenan Advantage Group (KAG) has acquired Michigan-based PRM Trucking, expanding its dry bulk transportation services.
With the acquisition, KAG will add 39 tractors, 91 trailers, a terminal, and maintenance facility, and around 3,000 feet of rail for transloading operations to its business.
Additionally, 33 professional drivers and 12 additional operating staff will join KAG.
John Rakoczy, Executive Vice-President for KAG Specialty Products, said, “The further expansion of our dry bulk transportation services will be supported with the latest addition of PRM, allowing us to capitalise on our growing Midwest presence.
“We are also fortunate to benefit from the ongoing leadership of the PRM team, who will continue their successful journey with KAG.”
KAG has completed several acquisitions this year. In August, the company acquired Louisiana-based transportation specialist TransVac to enhance its chemical storage capabilities.
Prior to that, in February, the company acquired another Michigan-based business, Northern Dry Bulk, adding 36 tractors and 91 trailers to its existing fleet.
