China-based Jiaxing Iwatani Industrial Gases has inaugurated a general industrial gas project in Jiaxing, marking the culmination of a nearly four year-long project, according to the Gas Review.
Starting in October 2019, the first stage of the project saw the development of a hydrogen production facility and a second air separation unit (ASU) in response to the increasing demand for air separation gases and hydrogen in the East China region.
With a production capacity of about 1,500Nm3/h (normal cubic metres per hour), the hydrogen plant began operations in January 2022, followed by the ASU in May of this year.
