Two universities signed a significant collaboration at an international academic summit hosted by Scottish Carbon Capture and Storage (SCCS) last night, to pave the way for international research into carbon capture and storage (CCS).
The University of Edinburgh in Scotland and the University of Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada, signed a Memorandum of Understanding which will establish up to three C$10,000 ($7,300) Master of Science (MSc) scholarships each year, with funding support from SaskPower – a pioneering Canadian CCS company.
Successful students in this award will be accepted as visiting graduate students at Regina, after completing two semesters of the University of Edinburgh’s MSc in CCS.
