Integrated Pump Rental joins Atlas Copco Group

South Africa-based Integrated Pump Rental (IPR), a specialty rental provider of dewatering solutions, has been acquired by Atlas Copco Group.

Announced today (15th August), the acquisition will see IPR immediately become part of the specialty rental division within Atlas Copco’s Power Technique business area.

IPR is headquartered in Johannesburg and has 18 employees. The company provides fully outsourced dewatering solutions through the rental of pump, and ancillary equipment.

The company’s customer base is mostly in mining, quarrying, construction, and wastewater.

Andrew Walker, President of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique business, said, “The acquisition of IPR will give us a solid footprint for specialty dewatering in Sub-Saharan Africa, a critical mining market.”

“IPR will provide us with a competence hub and operational capability in the region.”

In 2023, Atlas Copco acquired Australian dewatering solutions speciality National Pump & Energy.
