Energy solution and service provider INNIO Group (INNIO) has receives the ‘H2-Readiness’ certification from TUV SUD for its Jenbacher engine power plant concept, highlighting the potential for future investment in clean energy technology.
According to INNIO, the concept enables both the conversion of existing Jenbacher power plants to hydrogen and the planning of new hydrogen-ready Jenbacher power plants.
The award will see INNIO become the world’s first company to offer energy solutions based on a ‘H2-Readiness’ concept certified by TUV SUD for new engine power plants and for converting existing power plants to run on 100% hydrogen.
Commenting on achievement, Dr. Andreas Kunz, CTO of the INNIO Group, said, “We are ‘Ready for H2’ and the independent certification from TUV SUD provides even more investment security for companies and municipalities.”
